"I want so badly to be able to help people in my community. And shortly after, you know, this last federal election, presidential election, I thought, you know, I don't have to wait until I have a degree to help people. I can do it now. So that's part of the reason why I'm getting more involved."
"And you know, people from my generation and older, you know, I'm a millennial, we remember how tough it was, and we don't want that for you all. We don't want you to feel alone. We want to help how we can. And, you know the LGBTQ+ community, is in a way, it is like a real, real big family"

"And it was real, real tough at times, but I made it. And you know, wherever you are in your journey, you can make it too."
